These roles involve the development of an exciting new website which will take the world by storm! You will be working as part of a team and as your location is of secondary importance you will have to have a strong dedication to adhering to deadlines and have a natural ability to complete your work in conformity with in-house programming standards. Regular status reports and updates will form an integral part of your responsibilities.
These are initially contract positions but with the likelihood of further expansion they could easily turn into full time positions.

The following skillset is required as a minimum.
At least 3 years developing object-oriented PHP for database driven sites.
A solid experience in MySQL schema, design and development for production.
At least 3 years working with HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
A solid working knowledge of jQuery .
Understand the importance of web application security practices.
Be comfortable using AJAX.
A working knowledge with Apache web server.

We recently added 5mm Foamex printed panels to update the displays at one of the Four Star Pizza stores. There was a huge amount of in-store cutting of the sheets to fit around the existing moldings. The sheets were laminated to protect the print and allow them to be easily cleaned. We produced a simply massive graphic for Self Build Munster for a recent exhibition. This one piece canvas graphic can be used indoors or outdoors as it is 100% waterproof. We can produce graphics any size and length.

We recently developed a new brand for the Garvey Group. As part of the brand was the promotion of their sponsorship of the Football and Hurling Championships in Kerry over the next three years. The teardrop flags were selected as they are five metres high and massive attention grabbers. Perfect for outdoor use as they love the Irish weather.

Farranfore based Web Company Splash has been nominated for another National Website Award ‘The Eircom Spider Awards’ for their website www.printing.ie. The Eircom Spider Awards are the most prestigious of the web calendar and are seen as the Oscars for websites in Ireland. This is Splash’s fourth time being nominated and ninth time overall in National Awards. The Printing.ie website was designed and developed in-house by Splash.

All entries were subjected to a rigorous judging process. On this occasion Splash are in the ‘Retail Excellence’ category, which is for a website that demonstrates excellence in providing online customer solutions and retail sales of products or services. There is tough competition this year from TESCO Mobile, Magee Clothing, DID Electrical, Smyths Toys and Merlin Car Auctions.

Commenting Stephen Beynon, Chairman of the Judging Panel and Group Managing Director Consumer and Small Business, eircom said, “As always the judges had a tough job. The quality of the entries was phenomenal and we really had a challenge to pick a shortlist for each category”.

The winners of the 2010 eircom Spider Awards will be announced at a gala dinner on Thursday, 18^th November in the Burlington Hotel. Well-known comedian and TV personality Jimmy Carr will take to the stage to host the event.
